1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of all products and services provided by Nameslug. By creating an account, subscribing to a service, or accessing our platform, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue using our services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to open an account and use Nameslug services. By using our services, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete.
3. Account Responsibilities
- The customer is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity performed under your account.
- Unauthorized access, sharing of accounts, or providing access to third parties is prohibited.
4. Payments & Billing
- All services must be paid in advance for the selected billing cycle.
- Invoices are generated before the due date and must be paid on time to avoid service interruption.
- Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of services.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
5. Service Activation
Services are provisioned automatically once payment is confirmed. For services requiring manual setup, activation may require additional time.
6. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Customers must comply with Nameslug’s acceptable use standards. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Hosting or distributing malware, phishing pages, viruses, or harmful scripts.
- Spamming, bulk mailing, or unsolicited email campaigns.
- Running resource-intensive processes that negatively impact server performance.
- Hosting adult, illegal, copyrighted, or abusive content.
- Launching DDoS attacks, port scanning, brute-force attacks, or any malicious activity.
- Storage of data unrelated to hosted services (e.g., backup/archive storage on shared hosting).
7. Resource Usage Limits
Customers must adhere to resource limits depending on their hosting plan:
- No excessive CPU, RAM, or disk I/O consumption.
- No continuous 100% usage that affects other customers on shared environments.
- No running IRC, crypto mining, proxies, or bots unless explicitly allowed.
8. Suspension & Termination
Nameslug reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts under the following circumstances:
- Violation of these Terms or the AUP.
- Unpaid invoices beyond the grace period.
- Abuse or harmful activity affecting server stability.
- Legal violations or DMCA non-compliance.
9. Backups & Data
- Nameslug may provide automated backups when included in your plan.
- Backups are not guaranteed; customers are responsible for keeping their own backups.
- Nameslug is not liable for lost data, backup failures, or corruption.
10. Email Services
- Sending bulk, unsolicited, or abusive emails is strictly prohibited.
- Reputation damage caused by spam may result in immediate termination.
11. Domain Registration Terms
- Domain registration, transfer, and renewal fees are non-refundable.
- Nameslug is not responsible for expired domains or DNS downtime caused by delayed renewal.
- Customer is responsible for ensuring WHOIS information is accurate.
12. Service Level Agreement (SLA)
Nameslug aims to provide high uptime and performance. However, no service can guarantee 100% uptime. SLA credits may be provided for extended outages depending on plan type.
13. Security
- Customers must use strong passwords and secure their accounts.
- Uploading vulnerable scripts or outdated CMS versions is the customer's responsibility.
- Nameslug is not responsible for hacked websites resulting from customer misconfiguration.
14. Liability Limitation
Nameslug shall not be held liable for:
- Loss of profits, revenue, or data.
- Downtime caused by maintenance, hardware failure, or third-party providers.
- Customer errors, misconfigurations, or third-party scripts.
Maximum liability is limited to the cost of the service for the current billing period.
15. Privacy & Data Protection
Nameslug processes personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in that policy.
16. Changes to the Terms
Nameslug may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of services after changes means acceptance of the updated Terms.
